What is the F**K Cancer Benefit Concert?
A Vancouver benefit concert founded by late Prism drummer Rocket Norton that gathered B.C. rock legends to raise money for the BC Cancer Foundation.
Who started it?
Rocket Norton, after being diagnosed with cancer. Manager Bruce Allen gave him a ‘F**K CANCER’ T-shirt that he turned into a battle cry.
Who has performed?
Members of Loverboy, Chilliwack, Trooper, Powder Blues Band, Headpins, Doug & the Slugs and PRISM, among others.
Where did the money go?
To the BC Cancer Foundation, including its Personalized Onco-Genomics (POG) and PROFYLE precision-oncology programs. The first concert raised about $170,000.
