Where the Money Went

The point of the night was never just the music. Every edition was built to move real money to cancer research and care in British Columbia, through the BC Cancer Foundation.

Six figures, first time out

The inaugural concert raised roughly $170,000 — remarkable for a grassroots, artist-driven event — directed to the Foundation’s Personalized Onco-Genomics (POG) program, which decodes the genetic mutations of individual cancers to guide treatment.

Precision oncology for young people

Later proceeds supported PROFYLE (Precision Oncology For Young people), using genomic information to find better treatments for children and young adults with hard-to-treat cancers.
